Pumpkin and ornamental grass season: what Dobropark looks like in autumn

More than 50 tons of pumpkins, a flower market, kilometer-long strips of ornamental grasses, and dozens of atmospheric photo zones — this is how Dobropark welcomes autumn. This season is about the beauty of shapes, colors, and textures, about calm walks, warm photos, and new impressions. In this article, we расскажем what awaits guests in the park this autumn — and why now is the perfect time to plan a visit.

Dobropark in autumn is not only about the colors of nature, but also about a cohesive aesthetic created with great attention to detail. At the central location covering more than one hectare, new photo zones await you — from pumpkin pyramids to cozy corners filled with hundreds of chrysanthemums. To create just one autumn space, more than 50 tons of pumpkins were used — of various shapes, colors, and sizes. They adorn compositions made of hay bales, woven baskets, and wooden elements, with the well-known Pumpkin House at the center, now decorated this year with a dome of retro lanterns in warm tones. In addition, in the evening the area is illuminated by dynamic red lanterns as well.

Next to the house, there are hundreds of chrysanthemums and small pine trees that add richness and texture to the location. New decorative elements include two pumpkin towers and three large pyramids. You can also see Ukrainian windmills here, photo zones made from farm hay bales, and a family of capybaras — perfect for family photos.

Special attention deserves the botanical collection of ornamental grasses, perennials, and miscanthus, which is considered one of the largest in Europe. Dobropark features 113 varieties of ornamental grasses and perennial plants. Among them are unique grass varieties that can be considered the top five of this season: Lady in Red, Silver Sharm, Memory, Ballerina, and Black Beauty. Their color palette — ranging from soft greens to deep burgundy tones — creates multi-layered landscapes that change with every gust of wind.

Autumn locations with ornamental grasses are arranged in three zones: the first is located between the main lavender field and the pumpkin area, while the other two are situated on both sides of Monet Lake. All of them are marked as number 19 on the park map and are connected by a dotted path — an ideal route for a slow and atmospheric walk through Dobropark. Among the tall bushes and lush grasses, there are cozy resting spots where you feel like stopping, relaxing, and listening to the rustling of the grasses.

Plan your visit right now and let this season stay in your memory. The autumn season is tentatively scheduled to last until October 19 inclusive. The schedule remains unchanged — we are open daily, without days off, from 10:00 to 20:00. Tickets can be purchased on-site or online on the Dobropark website.
